Peter, to answer the no stamp question, its a special print from the Japaneese Postal System for ''bulk'' shipping, like what we used to have in Canada ''printed matter'' with a special postal rate.

But I've read somewhere (I cannot find the source), he is an art teacher in a college/university in Osaka and sometimes have his students to help him with the printing of the sheets.
